Feeding Our Local Children

A Summer Healthy Lunch Program

Welcome to GOT LUNCH! Campton-Thornton! This community collaboration provided 4,400 lunches to 88 local school-age children during the summer of 2016. Approximately 40% of the school-age children in the Campton-Thornton area are eligible for free or reduced-cost breakfast and lunch during the school year. Until GOT LUNCH!, there was not a program in place to ensure that these kids receive adequate nutrition during the summer months. Following the lead of other communities, parents (in collaboration with Campton Elementary and Thornton Central School) and community partners are continuing this summer lunch program to meet the nutritional gap for our local kids. We invite any organizations or individuals to participate with us by volunteering or donating to this critical program. We welcome any who are interested in supporting this very worthy effort. Please contact us at the email address below to become involved. We will be posting updates at this website and look forward to making this a true community effort on behalf of our children! Yes, in Campton & Thornton, we’ve GOT LUNCH!
